Kids USAAF Type D-1 Sheepskin Jacket

We are delighted to offer Aero's perfect reproduction in miniature of the WW2 Type D-1 Shearling Jacket. Every detail is the same as the original with two zip pockets, WWII style Talon zippers, Seal Brown Shearling with matching leather tape over the seams and a replica USAAF label. "Redskin" versions may be available, please enquire

Although the D1 was designed as a ground crew jacket a surprising number made their way into the air. Because of its simple design many fliers traded their B3s for D1s. Now "Junior" can have his own authentic Flight Jacket.
We've found that the most reliable way to fit kids is by their height, our patterns are made to 3" height increments, with children growing so quickly we'd generally advise to get a jacket a wee bit on the large size but we are happy to advise.
All materials used on our Kid's range are regular Aero grade but to keep the prices as low as possible these jackets are made mainly of from odd skins and large off cuts. This means there might be occasional slight mismatching of shade or grain, or scarring on the skins.
