Another new Kid’s jacket the design of which reflects both the enforced austerity brought on by The Great Depression and the flamboyance of those who survived this traumatic period in America's history relative unscathed. While Two-Tone jackets were a popular fashion item amongst the playgrounds of Hollywood and Manhattan, for the poor working man it was a way to get a cheap leather jacket as tailors strove to use every last piece of leather, putting together all manner of combinations of colours driven by need rather than design.Hence the relative abundance of two-tone leather jackets in comparison to other eras.
The fit of our jacket is slim and neat, and, typically of the era, most of the seams on this multi panel jacket are triple stitched which adds to the strength and the unique character of the jacket. Panel configuration of this multi panel jacket may vary slightly from one jacket to the next but the overall feel of a genuine the 1930s will be faithfully replicated
All materials used on our Kid’s range are regular Aero grade but to keep the prices as low as possible these jackets are made mainly of from odd skins and large off cuts. This means there might be occasional slight mismatching of shade or grain, or scarring on the skins. In this case scarring and mismatched grain only adds to the authentic feel of a period jacket. Linings will generally be end of piece from one of our regular linings, choice may be limited
We’ve found that the most reliable way to fit kids is by their height, our patterns are made to 3” height increments, with children growing so quickly we’d generally advise to get a jacket a wee bit on the large size but we are happy to advise.

****The Jacket in the pictures is slightly too small for the mannequin, hence some stretching in plasces***
