These superb shirts are perfect replicas of mid C20th formal shirts. Made in England in soft stripe colourways make them ideal for a muted wartime look, they have been re-woven from original garments from archive. The collar shape is typical of the period and the collars themselves are made up with a deliberately soft, non fused interfacing which gives an authentically gentle look but they can take separate collar stiffeners. The collar itself is approximately 3" to 3 1/4" long at the front point.

While it's still possible to pick up most items of vintage clothing from the 1930s and 1940s including collarless shirts, it's almost impossible to find original wearable Spearpoint collar shirts.

We've taken an original CC41 shirt as a template, giving an original fit and generous sleeve length and recreated every aspect of the design using the correct 1940s style stripe in a pure cotton Our shirt uses the traditional single needle construction with no overlocking. As well as making sure the collar is exactly the right size and shape we've insisted that there is no fused stiffening in the collar so the vital neck area looks totally correct for the 1930s/1940s period. The body has a traditional loose cut with a longer tail, the shirt pulls on over the head and has a single cuff. To complete the original design we've even recreated the original Utility label which bears the correct specification number for this design.

These are limited availability, as the colourways cannot be repeated.

Match one of these great shirts with a Lochcarron tartan wool tie.
