USAAF Type A-2: Bronco Contract No. W535-AC-29191
• Pattern taken from a number of original 1942 jackets in our archives
• Talon zipper
• Bevelled pocket corners
• Military grade cotton lining
• High grade knitted cuffs and waistband
• Ring studs
• Pictured left in Russet Vicenza Horsehide
This is our version of the Bronco Type A-2, like the original, it is available in Horsehide, Steerhide and Goatskin. All detailing is 100% correct, of course, the patterns are taken from original USAAF issue jackets so the fit is identical to the WW2 jacket. This A-2 has square shoulders, a slimmer torso and less tapered lower sleeve than most other contracts. We’ve replicated every detail being from the specific top stitch style on the seams and epaulette box to bevelled pockets, to the perfect recreation of the military label etc. The lining is the correct shade of pale mustard
The W535-AC-29191 is available in all the original options, Horsehide, Steerhide and Goatskin. Originally Bronco used both Talon and Crown zippers on this contract, as standard we fit a high grade Japanese re manufactured Talon WW2 alloy zipper.
The Bronco W535-AC-29191 is one of the slimmest fitting Type A-2s in our range and in our opinion one of best fitting. While it's comparable to the 38-1711-P in terms of its neat fit, it has lower arm holes so feels more spacious around the shoulders and chest and has a neater fit around body than the 38-1711-P.
We typically recommend ordering the size closest to your expanded chest measurement, but depending on their measurements, some customers size up for a more comfortable fit.
